Yiwen TSENG
Dr. Tseng is a researcher, designer, and curator who travels extensively between Taipei, Seoul, Shanghai, and Beijing. Her experimental design and curatorial practice spans Speculative Design, Critical Design, Discursive Design, and Design Fiction. Her work explores concepts related to humanity, social phenomena, and historical timelines. Notably, her PhD thesis proposed a "backward" Speculative Design concept to reconsider Oriental ideologies within the cultural and heritage production of Eastern thought.
As an educator, she comes from the background of product design to experience both the imagined and possible futures. Her design projects has been featured by various reputable media including Dezeen and Domus. Most recently, her curatorial project was selected by Hyundai Motorstudio Beijing and Taipei Fine Arts Museum. In 2023, she was an artist-in-resident at Contemporary Culture Lab(C- Lab) Taipei. Tseng is the alumni of Design Interaction at Royal College of Art, London.
曾乙文博士是一位設計師、當代概念設計研究者和策展人。她旅居台北、上海和北京。她的設計以產品設計為基礎，同時涉及推測設計、未來設計、批判性設計和論述設計等領域。在作品中，她探討跨領域實驗、人性、社會現象等概念，利用物件嫁接人與社會之間的關鍵橋樑，利用設計功能呈現另類視角，討論現實(非現實)間多維度的思考。
以她的博士論文為例，她提出”反向”推測設計觀，重新思考漢語世界和東亞文化遺產中的東方意識形態。作為教育工作者，她擁有產品設計的背景，利用設計作為媒介催化想像世界中的可能性未來。她的設計項目曾被多家知名媒體報導，包括Dezeen和Domus。最近，她的策展項目被北京現代汽車藝術文化中心與台北市立美術館選為候選。在2023年，她以創作者身份參與臺灣當代文化實驗場（C-Lab）的藝術家駐地。曾畢業於倫敦皇家藝術學院的設計互動。
